TRANSACT CHARGE REDUCTION 2023
In 2023, we implemented our 16th charge reduction in 15 years.
- The Buy Commission exemption threshold reduced from £200k to £100k on 1 March 2023 for new and existing clients.
This reduction benefits over 34,000 clients, in particular smaller portfolios, and means even more clients pay no Buy Commission at all.
Transact Buy Commission Charging Structure from 1 March 2023
When clients buy an investment, Transact charge a Buy Commission of 0.05% of the value of that investment. At the end of each month, clients may receive a refund based upon the average portfolio value for the month or part month as follows:

Positive results, reduced rates
Transact continues to go from strength to strength, despite worldwide economic pressures. Our growth allows us to continue to enhance our platform, and pass on economies of scale to clients by reducing our charges. For the financial year ended September 2022:
- Funds Under Direction (FUD) was £50.1bn on 30 September 2022 and the average for the year was £52.5bn (an 11% increase on FY21).
- Gross inflows were £7.3bn and net inflows were £4.4bn.
- Advisers registered on Transact grew 5% from 7.2k to 7.5k.
- Clients using the Transact platform grew 8% from c.209k to c.225k.

In 2022, Transact maintained its position as the no.1 large advised UK platform in both the Investment Trends Adviser Technology & Business Report and CoreData UK Investment Platform Study, as rated by advisers covering in excess of 40 service metrics.
